STCs
A Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) is a legal change to the Type Certificate. STCs are required to submit any changes to the FAA that you or your mechanic has made to the aircraft. They are developed by aftermarket companies to enhance the flight characteristics of an aircraft or upgrade components to newer technology or standards.
